A chilling crime has surfaced in Lagos, as a 35-year-old woman, Adeola Adewale, was arrested for allegedly poisoning a 65-year-old man, Mr. Adebayo, to death in a service apartment in the Abule-Egba area. This shocking case has left residents reeling as the investigation unfolds.
Details of the Crime
The Lagos State Police Command has successfully apprehended a 35-year-old woman, Adeola Adewale, after she allegedly poisoned a 65-year-old man, Mr. Adebayo, to death. The incident occurred in a service apartment located in the Abule-Egba area of Lagos.
According to a press release from the Lagos State Police, the crime took place on March 27, 2025. Adeola and Mr. Adebayo had rented the apartment, and hours later, Adeola left the premises with Adebayo’s car and personal belongings. She informed the housekeeper that she would be back shortly but never returned.
Grim Discovery and Investigation
When a routine check was carried out the following day, Mr. Adebayo’s lifeless body was discovered in the apartment. Investigators found disturbing evidence at the scene: an empty syringe, two empty cans of malt drink, and two bottles of water.
After an extensive investigation, the police traced Adeola to the Oko-Oba area of Lagos, where she was arrested on April 26, 2025. During interrogation, she confessed to administering a poisoned malt drink to Mr. Adebayo, which ultimately led to his death. The victim was later identified as Mr. Adebayo, aged 65.
