US Airstrikes Kill 31 in Yemen as Trump Vows Retaliation Against Huthi Attacks

The first US military strikes in Yemen under President Donald Trump have left 31 people dead and over 100 injured, including children and women, according to the Huthi rebel health ministry.

The strikes targeted multiple locations controlled by the Iran-backed Huthi movement, following their ongoing attacks on Red Sea shipping and Israel during the Gaza war.

Trump’s Warning to the Huthis and Iran

Reacting to the attacks, President Trump issued a strong warning to the Huthis, vowing to use “overwhelming lethal force” if they continue targeting international shipping lanes.

“To all Huthi terrorists, YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!”

Trump also called on Iran to immediately withdraw its support for the group:

“To Iran: Support for the Houthi terrorists must end IMMEDIATELY! If you do not, America will hold you fully accountable.”

Airstrikes and Rising Tensions

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the precision strikes and released footage showing fighter jets launching operations against multiple targets.

The strikes reportedly hit Sanaa, Saada, Al-Bayda, and Radaa, causing significant casualties and infrastructure damage.

In response, the Huthis declared that the attacks “will not go unanswered”, signaling potential retaliatory actions.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the US airstrikes, calling them a “gross violation of international law”.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards also warned of “appropriate, decisive, and conclusive responses” if the conflict escalates further.

The Hamas movement also denounced the airstrikes, branding them an “assault on Yemen’s sovereignty”.
