Trump Dismisses Four Senior Biden Officials, Signals More Firings to Come

In a bold move, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the firing of four senior government officials appointed by his predecessor, Joe Biden, with an indication that additional dismissals are on the horizon.

This announcement came through Trump’s first post on Truth Social since his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States.

He shared, “Our first day in the White House is not over yet! My Presidential Personnel Office is actively working to identify and remove over a thousand appointees from the previous administration who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again.”

The officials let go include Jose Andres from the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition; Mark Milley from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council; Brian Hook from the Wilson Center for Scholars; and Keisha Lance Bottoms from the President’s Export Council.

Trump officially announced their dismissals with his iconic “YOU’RE FIRED!” catchphrase.

Trump’s first day in office has been characterized by sweeping changes, including a regulatory freeze and an order mandating that all federal employees return to in-person work.

He also suspended 78 executive orders issued by the Biden administration and emphasized his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises, which include reducing the size of the civil service and improving government efficiency.

In his inauguration speech, Trump promised to usher in a “Golden Age” for the U.S., criticizing Biden’s administration as “radical and corrupt” and citing the handling of domestic crises as a key failure.

With more changes expected, the Trump administration is setting the stage for a contentious and transformative tenure.
