Tottenham Extends Son Heung-min’s Contract Until 2026

Tottenham Hotspur has officially triggered the option to extend the contract of team captain Son Heung-min until 2026.

The 32-year-old South Korean forward joined the club in 2015 from Bayer Leverkusen and has since made 431 appearances, netting 169 goals, ranking fourth on Tottenham’s all-time goal list.

Son, who was named captain of the club in August 2023, shared the Premier League Golden Boot with Mohamed Salah of Liverpool during the 2021/22 season, scoring 23 goals.

Additionally, he serves as the captain of the South Korean national team, having made 131 appearances and scored 51 goals.

In the current season, Son has scored seven goals in all competitions, despite Tottenham’s struggles, with the team currently sitting in 12th place in the Premier League.
