President Bola Tinubu has instructed the Ministry of Justice to work with the National Assembly to address concerns about the proposed tax reforms.

However, the proposed reforms face opposition from groups like the Arewa Dignity Advancement Initiative, who argue that the tax changes could worsen economic hardship for many Nigerians.
