Five days after his suspension, Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has resurfaced in Port Harcourt, putting an end to speculations about his whereabouts.
On Sunday, Fubara attended a special prayer and thanksgiving service at Salvation Ministries Headquarters, located in the Government Reservation Area (GRA) of the state capital.
His appearance dismissed rumors that he had fled to another South-South state following the recent political turmoil.
Grateful Despite Political Storm
During the service, Fubara expressed gratitude to God, acknowledging His love, mercy, and unwavering support amid the ongoing political crisis.
He was accompanied by several top politicians, elders, and key stakeholders in Rivers State.
His Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, later released a statement listing some of the prominent figures present at the event. They included:

The thanksgiving service was a deeply spiritual gathering led by Pastor David Ibiyeomie, who delivered a sermon on “Living a Blessed Life” (Genesis 1:28).
The congregation joined in soul-stirring worship, scriptural exhortations, and fervent prayers for peace, stability, and progress in Rivers State.
At the end of the service, a special prayer session was held for Governor Fubara, reaffirming his faith in divine intervention as he continues to face political challenges.
With tensions still high, Fubara’s reappearance in Port Harcourt has further fueled discussions about the unfolding political landscape in Rivers State.
