Renowned Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, famously known as Sunday Igboho, has shared his thoughts on why many Nigerians no longer take pride in their nationality.
In a heartfelt video circulating online, Igboho, seen at an airport in the United Kingdom, highlighted corruption, insecurity, and a struggling economy as the key reasons why patriotism is dwindling among Nigerians.
For Igboho, the solution is clear: if Nigeria can’t function as one united country, then the different ethnic groups should be allowed to go their separate ways.
He emphasized that Yoruba youths, with their global exposure and experience, are ready to transform the Yoruba nation into a modern and prosperous society comparable to European standards.
> “Even at the airport, there’s no security. Your belongings can be stolen right out of your bag. These kinds of issues make it hard for people to be proud of Nigeria,” Igboho lamented.
He continued, “Our Yoruba youths have traveled far and wide, gaining valuable knowledge and experience. If they come back home, they will use their expertise to rebuild and develop Yoruba land into a thriving nation.”
