Popular Nigerian comedian, Oluwaseyitan Aletile, famously known as Seyi Law, has voiced his unwavering belief in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, stating that if Tinubu fails to redirect the country, no other politician can.
During a recent episode of the Teju Babyface Deep Dive podcast, Seyi Law boldly asserted that not even Peter Obi or Atiku Abubakar—two notable presidential contenders—possess the capacity to set Nigeria on the right path if Tinubu cannot.
Seyi Law, 41, who openly supported Tinubu during the 2023 elections, shared that his doubts about Obi and Atiku are based on personal insights and experiences.
“I want to live to be 70 or 80 and see my children benefit from the sacrifices I’ve made today,” he said. “And I say this without sentiment—if Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot steer Nigeria in the right direction, no other politician currently can. Not Atiku, not Peter Obi.”
He went on to recall a conversation where he referenced a past incident involving a governor’s aide allegedly found with N200 million in cash, which was reportedly linked to Peter Obi. According to Seyi Law, many supporters turn a blind eye to such allegations when it’s someone they favor.
He also mentioned claims made by former Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, who reportedly accused Peter Obi of demanding N7.5 billion in political payback.
“People choose what truth to believe depending on who they support. But the truth isn’t selective,” Seyi Law concluded.
