Senator Tofowomo Slams Ondo PDP Leaders Over Internal Crisis

The crisis rocking the Ondo State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has taken a fresh twist as Senator Nicholas Tofowomo fiercely criticized the party’s leadership, labeling them as betrayers.

Tofowomo accused the PDP leaders of sidelining the party’s spokesperson, Kennedy Peretei, after initially encouraging him to contest for the state chairmanship position.

This betrayal, he noted, was the primary reason behind Peretei’s resignation from the party.

“The leadership owes Peretei an apology for playing with his ambition. They invited him to show interest in the chairmanship, only to abandon him. If they hadn’t invited him, I wouldn’t have been this angry,” he said.

Speaking on the party’s failure in the last general election, Tofowomo distanced himself from the loss across all 18 local governments in the state, emphasizing that even the party’s candidate couldn’t secure a win in his own ward.

“Am I to blame for the PDP’s failure in other local governments, including Ajayi’s ward? I am a committed member of the PDP and have paid my dues,” he stated.
