The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok Ete Ibas (retd.), has assured residents that his administration is committed to reviving the state’s economy and enhancing social services.
While hosting the Rivers State National Assembly caucus, led by Senator Barinada Mpigi, at the Government House in Port Harcourt, Ibas disclosed that preparations for the 2025 budget are in full swing.
According to Ibas, the new budget will prioritize healthcare, education, infrastructure, job creation, and agriculture.
He emphasized that following the Supreme Court’s ruling on the state’s budget, his administration swiftly took action to draft a comprehensive and impactful financial plan that aligns with the government’s mission to improve the lives of Rivers residents.
A Commitment to Peace and Progress
Since assuming office, Ibas has focused on restoring law and order in the state. He acknowledged the crucial role played by security agencies in creating an environment where residents feel safe and valued.
“In addition to our peace-building efforts, we are also focused on economic stability and development. Our goal is to ensure we don’t waste any more time in making vital investments that will uplift the people,” he said.

The 2025 budget is expected to drive economic transformation by investing in:
