Rivers State Police Neutralize Infamous Kidnap Kingpin Behind Murders of Police Officers, Shell Staff, and Community Leaders

In a decisive operation, the Rivers State Police Command has neutralized a notorious kidnap kingpin responsible for the deaths of four police officers, two Shell Petroleum Development Company staff members, a youth president, and several others in the state. The criminal, identified as ‘General 2man’, met his end during a targeted raid in the Ogbologbo community of Ahoada West Local Government Area.

‘General 2man’ was a close associate of the now-neutralized ‘2Baba’ and ‘General Odereke’, both infamous for their reigns of terror in the region. His criminal activities included the brutal murder of Inspector Usang Ude on April 13, 2023, and the senseless killings of four individuals—Henry Kirirka, Patience Henry, Abigail Victor, and Chigozie Okpo—on March 5, 2024. Disturbingly, he also buried several victims alive, including Christmas Ede and Agode Gamany, in March 2024.

The police operation, led by the Rivers State Police Command’s tactical team, encountered armed resistance from ‘General 2man’ and his gang. Although the kingpin managed to escape, his second-in-command, ThankGod Uchechi (alias ‘Pastor SP’), and third-in-command, Okpo Emenike (alias ‘Western King’), were fatally wounded in the ensuing gunfight. The police recovered two loaded AK-47 rifles and eight magazines from the scene.

Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu, commended the tactical team’s efforts and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to eradicating criminal elements in Rivers State. He urged the public to provide reliable information to assist in apprehending ‘General 2man’ and other fleeing gang members.

This operation underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to dismantle criminal networks and restore peace in affected communities. The Rivers State Police Command continues to call for public cooperation in its mission to ensure the safety and security of all residents.
