As Nigerians usher in 2025, Prophet Joshua Iginla of the Champion Royal Assembly has issued prophetic warnings for several key political figures, urging them to be prepared for significant challenges ahead. During his New Year’s Eve service in Abuja, Iginla shared his 2025 prophecy, cautioning President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike about what lies ahead. Despite the ominous predictions, Iginla also expressed optimism for Nigeria’s future, urging citizens to remain hopeful.
A Health Warning for President Tinubu
Prophet Iginla began with a somber warning for President Tinubu, emphasizing the need for him to prioritize his health in the face of potential medical challenges. “I saw a medical emergency,” Iginla stated, adding that although he prayed this would not come to pass, the president must take precautions. Iginla also predicted that the president would face intense opposition, with betrayals and political dramas unfolding like never before. He urged Tinubu to take rest and avoid overexerting himself, as his health could become a critical factor in the coming year.
Senate President Akpabio: Resistance from Northern Powers
For Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Iginla forecasted a difficult year, marked by strong resistance from powerful Northern figures. He warned of potential attempts to impeach Akpabio or pass a vote of no confidence against him. Iginla advised Akpabio to work in harmony with the Northern elites, honoring promises made in private discussions to prevent further political turmoil. “He must play good politics with the Northern brother,” Iginla noted, cautioning that unresolved issues, particularly concerning the tax reform bill, could add to the pressure.
A Call for Unity and Peace
Iginla also shared concerns about the ongoing political climate, particularly regarding the relationship between the government and the Northern region. He stressed that the government must not ignore the views of Northern Nigerians, calling for peaceful resolutions and common ground to avoid unnecessary conflict. “We must find a common ground for peaceful resolution. It’s very important,” he urged, stressing that politics should not be played at the expense of the people’s well-being.
Focus on Health and Development in the FCT
The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, also received a cautionary message. Iginla advised Wike to focus on his health in order to effectively carry out his duties, especially with the expected challenges ahead. The prophet predicted that Wike would spearhead significant reforms in the FCT, but would face resistance and opposition along the way. However, Iginla expressed hope that these challenges would ultimately lead to positive changes in the capital city.
A Glimmer of Hope for Nigeria’s Economic Future
Despite these warnings, Prophet Iginla expressed hope for Nigeria’s future, acknowledging the struggles faced by citizens throughout 2024. He urged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of the government, stressing that while the country’s challenges were daunting, there was a plan for economic recovery. Iginla highlighted the positive developments, such as the progress of the Warri Refinery and the anticipated launch of the Dangote Refinery, as steps toward improving the country’s economic landscape.
“I’ve been in this ministry for over 30 years, and I’ve never seen pressure like this,” Iginla reflected, acknowledging the hardship faced by ordinary Nigerians, especially in terms of food insecurity and the cost of education. Yet, he remained optimistic that the government’s long-term plans, coupled with short-term relief measures, could alleviate some of the citizens’ suffering.
Insecurity and Politics: A Call for Prayers and Caution
On the issue of insecurity, Iginla urged Nigerians to pray fervently, warning that political maneuvering around security could exacerbate the situation. “One of the greatest problems of Nigeria is that most politicians play politics with Nigerian lives,” he said, calling for caution and a focus on settling grievances through dialogue rather than ignoring them.
