NECO Expands Global Reach with New School Accreditations in Niger, Equatorial Guinea.
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has broadened its international presence by accrediting additional schools in Niger Republic and Equatorial Guinea for its Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
This development, confirmed by NECO’s Acting Director of Public Relations, Azeez Sanni, marks a strategic step to cater to Nigerian students and other candidates outside the country.
The accreditation team assessed classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and other facilities to ensure their readiness for the exams.
In a historic milestone, the UNHCR School in Diffa, Niger Republic, has become NECO’s first SSCE External Centre outside Nigeria.
Currently, NECO examinations are conducted in multiple countries, including Benin Republic, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, and Saudi Arabia, reflecting its expanding footprint.
