Natasha Tells Akpabio’s Wife: Stay Out of the Allegations
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has sent a strong message to Mrs. Unoma Akpabio, wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, urging her to stay away from the ongoing harassment allegations against her husband.
The controversy began when Natasha defied a Senate seating arrangement, citing Order 10 of the Senate Standing Rules.
Things escalated when she appeared on Arise News, accusing Akpabio of blocking her motions, intimidating her, and making inappropriate advances toward her.
In response, Mrs. Akpabio held a press conference in Abuja, dismissing the claims and stating that both families had a good relationship long before Natasha’s marriage.
However, in a letter dated March 1, 2025, Natasha, through her lawyer Victor Giwa, made it clear that Mrs. Akpabio should not involve herself in the matter. The letter, titled:
“Stay Away from Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Sexual Harassment and Intimidation Allegation Against Sen. President Godswill Akpabio; To Safeguard Your Sanity and That of Your Family,”
…emphasized that the allegations were personal to the Senate President and that he should be left to defend himself.
“I Have Proof” – Natasha
Natasha stated that she had tolerated harassment from Akpabio for too long but could no longer remain silent.
She assured that she had solid evidence to support her claims and advised Mrs. Akpabio to allow her husband to handle his defense.
“Our client remains firm in defending Nigerian women and will continue to uphold family values,” her lawyer stated.
As this political drama unfolds, all eyes are now on Senate President Akpabio to respond to the allegations.
