NABTEB Strengthens Workforce with Nationwide Capacity-Building Training
The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has successfully trained over 550 staff members in a five-day capacity-building workshop held in Benin City, Edo State.
Speaking on Friday, March 7, 2025, the Acting Registrar of NABTEB, Dr. Nnasia Asanga, emphasized that the training will now be a quarterly event aimed at equipping staff with the necessary skills to improve performance.
“This workshop was designed to enhance staff capacity and strengthen NABTEB’s overall effectiveness.
A total of 11 papers were presented by experts, providing valuable insights into our operations,” Asanga said.

The training sessions took place both at NABTEB’s Benin headquarters and via online platforms across Nigeria. Participants engaged in discussions on:

Dr. Asanga urged participants to apply the knowledge gained in their daily roles, stating:
“Knowledge becomes obsolete if not nurtured. I encourage you all to apply these lessons in your respective departments.”

The Head of Administration, Henry Johnson, lauded the training as insightful and engaging, assuring staff of continuous learning opportunities.
“Learning never stops. This is just the first in a series of many training programs. Some will be conducted internally, while others will involve external consultants,” he noted.
