Manchester City delivered a crushing 8-0 victory over Salford City in the FA Cup on Saturday, dashing the hopes of Salford’s former Manchester United star owners.
Meanwhile, Liverpool also advanced to the fourth round with a comfortable 4-0 win over Accrington Stanley.
Man City’s Dominant Display
City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, rested key players like Erling Haaland, giving younger talents an opportunity to shine.
Jeremy Doku opened the scoring within eight minutes, followed by goals from youngsters Divin Mubama and Nico O’Reilly. Jack Grealish converted a penalty to mark his first City goal in over a year, while James McAtee stole the spotlight with a second-half hat-trick.

High-flying Nottingham Forest continued their stellar season with a 2-0 victory over Luton, while Brighton and Leicester showcased their dominance with big wins against Norwich and QPR, respectively.

Plymouth caretaker boss Kevin Nancekivell celebrated the victory as a historic moment for the club.
“The FA Cup always brings drama, and today we’ve written a little piece of history,” he said.
