Dr. Dolapo Badru, a member of the House of Representatives, has called on political officeholders to join President Bola Tinubu in the fight to alleviate hunger across the country. Badru made the call while distributing food packages to 2,000 households in the Lagos Island Federal Constituency 1&2.
The food packages, which included rice, gari, and a carton of noodles, were presented as Christmas and New Year gifts aimed at easing hunger and bringing relief to Nigerians.
Badru also encouraged Nigerians to continue supporting the federal government’s economic reforms, stressing that these efforts are crucial to rebuilding the nation for the benefit of all.
He believes that the positive results of these reforms will be evident before the middle of 2025.
In his remarks, Moshood Mayegun, Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, praised Badru’s initiative and called on other politicians to follow his example of serving the community with dedication and selflessness.
