The Lagos State government, in partnership with MTN Nigeria, has introduced the ‘My Lagos App’, a digital platform designed to simplify life in Africa’s busiest metropolis.
The app was unveiled at MTN Plaza, Ikoyi, Lagos, with the aim of enhancing urban services and making daily activities more efficient for residents.
A Digital Solution for a Fast-Growing City
Speaking at the launch, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by Deputy Governor Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, described the app as a game-changer for digital governance.
He emphasized that in a rapidly expanding city like Lagos, technology is no longer a luxury but a necessity.
“The app offers real-time traffic updates, personalized navigation, emergency services, utility payment options, business listings, and tourism information.
It serves as a bridge between the government and citizens, ensuring transparency, accountability, and instant updates,” he stated.
Public-Private Collaboration for Progress
Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted that the partnership between Lagos State and MTN Nigeria demonstrates how public and private sectors can work together to drive meaningful progress.
“This collaboration reflects the power of synergy between the government and private sector in delivering innovative solutions that improve the quality of life for Lagosians,” he added.
Encouraging Residents to Embrace Technology
Sanwo-Olu urged Lagosians to download and explore the My Lagos App, stressing that it is designed to simplify access to essential services.
“As we transition into a fully digital age, I encourage every Lagos resident to embrace this platform. Technology is no longer a luxury; it is a necessity,” he said.
The ‘My Lagos App’ is expected to play a major role in boosting economic activities, improving service delivery, and promoting a smarter Lagos.
