The Governing Council of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has approved the promotion of three academic staff members to the rank of professor, alongside 25 others who have been elevated to associate professor status.
This decision was confirmed at the university council’s 73rd meeting held on Thursday, according to a statement released by Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, the acting Director of University Relations, in Ilorin on Friday.
The newly promoted professors include:
Prof. Shehu Abdulganiyu Salau from the Faculty of Agriculture (Agricultural Production Economics)
Prof. Moshood Zakariyah from the Faculty of Arts (Sociolinguistics)
Prof. Gafar Olorisade from the Faculty of Education (Educational Administration)
The list of associate professors cuts across multiple faculties including Agriculture, Arts, Education, Engineering and Technology, ICT, Law, Management and Social Sciences, and Pure and Applied Sciences.
