
Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Services, has assured residents that construction work on the Kabba-Egbe-Ilorin Road will resume within two weeks.
The senator made this announcement during the 2025 Isanlu Day celebration held on Saturday, highlighting that his consistent efforts to push for the project’s continuation had finally paid off.
He assured the people that the contractor handling the road has confirmed plans to return to the site soon.
Senator Karimi, while showing his commitment to community development, donated N10 million in support of the Isanlu Day celebration.
He further called on the people of Kogi West to support President Bola Tinubu’s administration, emphasizing that the president is committed to improving the lives of Nigerians, with special focus on regions like Kogi West.
According to Karimi, President Tinubu is working hard to revamp the national economy and set the country on the path to prosperity. “The administration means well, and with continued support, positive change is coming,” the senator said.
Also present at the event was Femi Atteh SAN, a respected son of Isanlu and the chief launcher, who generously donated N20 million.
Leke Abejide, representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, pledged another N10 million in support of the community.
