JAMB Reschedules 2025 UTME to Begin on Thursday, April 24

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a new date for the commencement of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The exam will now kick off on Thursday, April 24, 2025, instead of the previously planned Friday, April 25.

In a statement released by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, and posted on the Board’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the change was made to accommodate important engagements by the Board and its partner agencies.

In preparation for the exam, JAMB also informed all registered candidates that they can now print their UTME Notification Slips, starting from Saturday, April 19, 2025. These slips contain vital information such as the exam date, venue, time, and other necessary guidelines.

“It is essential that candidates print their slips early and visit their examination centres ahead of time. This helps reduce last-minute stress and ensures a smooth experience on the day of the test,” JAMB advised.

Here’s how to print the examination slip:

1. Visit www.jamb.gov.ng

2. Click on “2025 UTME Slip Printing”

3. Enter your registration number

4. Click on “Print Examination Slip”

JAMB reiterated that no candidate will be posted outside their selected examination town, urging candidates to familiarize themselves with their designated centres at least one or two days before the exam.

The UTME is an essential step for candidates seeking admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions, and proper preparation is key to success. All candidates are encouraged to take this opportunity seriously.
