FG Invests N92 Billion to Fix 74 Critical Roads Across 24 States

The Federal Government has spent N92 billion over the past few months to repair 74 critical federal roads across 24 states.

This initiative began in October 2023 when the Ministry of Works received approval to urgently address 260 road projects that were in desperate need of attention.

By January 2024, the government released N108.5 billion as part of a larger N217 billion budget aimed at fixing roads nationwide. From August to November 2024, N92 billion was specifically directed towards repairing roads in 24 states.

Some of the key projects include repairs on major roads in states like Ebonyi, Borno, Akwa Ibom, Oyo, and Kogi, with work ranging from small stretches to major highways, such as the Ibadan-Ife-Ilesa dual carriageway.
