The former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, has called on Nigerian leaders to prioritize patriotism, integrity, and selfless service, stating that such virtues bring lasting rewards both to the nation and individuals.
Mustapha made the call during an event held in Mombol, Adamawa State, in honour of Comptroller Haniel Hadison of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), who was recently elevated to the position of Comptroller of Special Duties at the NCS headquarters.
While praising Hadison’s dedication, the ex-SGF highlighted the importance of diligence and commitment to national growth.
“This gathering is a reminder that consistency and devotion to service still matter. Hadison has always led quietly yet effectively, becoming a symbol of reliability,” he stated.
Mustapha further emphasized the need to celebrate integrity in a time when society often prioritizes wealth and fame. “It is heartwarming that integrity is still celebrated. This honour shows that hard work remains valuable,” he added.
Also speaking, the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi, described Hadison as a shining light within the service, whose contributions are deeply appreciated.
Similarly, the traditional ruler of the Hong people, Tol Huba Alheri Bulus Nyako, praised Hadison as a loyal son of the land, committed to community development.
Reverend Simon Yohanna (rtd), who led the Central Planning Committee, described Hadison as a unifying force in Mombol, known for his support to widows, the elderly, and students through palliatives and scholarships.
In his appreciation speech, Comptroller Hadison dedicated the honour to collective community efforts, urging greater unity for the progress of Mombol and its people.
