Danish Government Eyes Investment in Enugu’s Agriculture, Logistics, and Energy Sectors
The Danish Consul General in Nigeria, Jette Djerrum, has expressed Denmark’s keen interest in expanding business operations in Enugu State.
Djerrum, who also serves as the Head of Trade at the Danish Embassy, led a delegation to meet with Governor Peter Mbah to explore investment opportunities in agriculture, renewable energy, logistics, and infrastructure.
Denmark’s Vision for Enugu
Denmark, known for its leadership in waste-to-energy, wind, and solar power, sees Enugu as a strategic partner for sustainable development.
Djerrum praised the state’s transparency, accountability, and rapid transformation, emphasizing that Enugu is a model for positive growth in Nigeria.
> “People often search for negative stories about Nigeria, but Enugu proves that good things are happening here. We want more Danish businesses to invest and grow with the people of Enugu,” Djerrum stated.

Agriculture – Denmark plans to support Enugu’s agricultural development, particularly in mechanized farming and value-added processing.
Renewable Energy – Investment in waste-to-power, wind, and solar projects to boost energy efficiency.
Logistics & Infrastructure – Strengthening the transport and supply chain sector with modern technology.
Djerrum highlighted Denmark’s partnership in tractor supply and the establishment of a tractor assembly center in Enugu to enhance farming productivity.

Governor Peter Mbah reaffirmed his administration’s pro-business policies, emphasizing plans to grow Enugu’s economy to $30 billion in six years.
