Love Ogah, daughter of renowned preacher Bishop David Oyedepo, has opened up about a chilling incident from her youth—when hired assassins stormed their home in an attempt to take her father’s life, but mysteriously failed to see him.
In a heartfelt sermon titled “Building a Successful Marriage,” which she posted on her Instagram page, Love recounted the harrowing night during her secondary school years that left an unforgettable mark on her life.
“I remember it clearly. One night, a group of armed men broke into our home. From the moment they entered, they kept saying, ‘We’re here to execute him,’ referring to my dad,” she said.
The intruders turned their house upside down in a desperate search for Bishop Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide. What shocked everyone, however, was what happened next.
According to her, the men spent hours searching room by room, yet completely missed her father—who, unknown to them, was watching their every move.
“What I’ll never forget is that my father was right there, staring at them as they searched. But they couldn’t see him,” she said. “They even entered his room, searched everywhere, and still couldn’t find him.”
In the chaos, Love herself suffered a painful injury when a door slammed into her face, tearing her upper gum. Yet through it all, her father remained untouched—hidden in plain sight.
After the intruders finally left, panic and confusion filled the house. “My aunt came in crying, afraid something terrible had happened,” Love recalled. “Then my father stepped out of his room, completely unharmed. We were stunned—it felt like a scene from a movie.”
Using the powerful story as a lesson in divine protection, she urged believers to build a personal relationship with God.
“When you’re walking in God’s will, trials will test your faith. But if your foundation is solid, you’ll stand,” she said. “That’s why I urge everyone: know God for yourself. Enemies may come, but in God, you’re already victorious—they can’t touch you.”
