Anglican Church Celebrates Palm Sunday with Street Procession in Abuja

In a vibrant display of faith and tradition, the Cathedral Church of The Advent, Anglican Communion, marked Palm Sunday in Abuja with a grand street procession led by the Primate of All Nigeria, His Grace The Most Reverend Dr. Henry Ndukuba.

The celebration, which commemorates Jesus Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem, saw thousands of worshippers, including choir members, step out in unity, waving palm fronds and singing praises along the streets of Life Camp.

The early morning procession captured the spirit of the biblical event, as participants chanted “Hosannah in the highest,” symbolizing the joyful welcome Jesus received over 2,000 years ago.

The Primate himself was seen leading the faithful, actively waving palm branches and joining in the hymns. The procession concluded with a special church service, bringing the spiritual gathering to a powerful close.
