Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has set an ambitious goal for the club, expressing confidence that the Red Devils will reclaim the Premier League title by 2028.
United last won the league in 2012/13 under Sir Alex Ferguson, marking over a decade without lifting the coveted trophy. However, Amorim believes the club is on a long-term path to success.
United’s Current Struggles
Despite the optimism, Amorim’s squad currently sits 13th in the Premier League table after 24 matches, facing a tough season. Their next challenge is an away fixture against Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday.
When asked about United’s title ambitions, Amorim, speaking via Fabrizio Romano, reaffirmed his belief in the club’s long-term vision:
“Yes, we talk about that. Our focus is to win the Premier League, and we can change everything in a few years,” he stated.
“At this moment, we are in a difficult position, but we need to work every day on the little steps.”
Building for the Future
Amorim took over as United’s manager after leaving Sporting CP last year. While the road ahead looks challenging, he remains focused on gradually building a title-winning team.
