In a shocking twist, Ihuoma Julia Nneji, daughter of the ABC Transport founder, has raised an alarm, accusing the Nigeria Police Force of declaring her wanted without any prior notification or invitation — a claim stirring serious concerns over due process and personal rights.
Ihuoma Julia Nneji, 34, daughter of the renowned owner of ABC Transport, has publicly decried her inclusion in a police bulletin without any prior invitation or knowledge of a petition against her.
Over the weekend, Nneji disclosed that the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF NCCC), Abuja, listed her in a Special Police Gazette Bulletin on charges of criminal defamation, injurious falsehood, and cyberstalking.
Speaking through a statement, she strongly denied any wrongdoing, insisting that she never used her verified social media platforms or any other medium to defame or blackmail anyone. Rather, she alleged that she has been the target of harassment and blackmail from her former fiancé, Henry Uzochukwu, who is the complainant in the case.
Narrating her ordeal, Nneji said, “I met Henry Uzochukwu in April 2024, and we began a relationship that sadly ended in turmoil. By August 2024, I decided to call off our planned November wedding after discovering concerning evidence regarding Henry’s sexuality.”
According to her, investigations revealed that Uzochukwu was allegedly involved with men and had been engaged multiple times, with each relationship ending abruptly for similar undisclosed reasons.
“I found out that the woman he was engaged to before me also called off the wedding just a week to their big day after making the same discovery. I was misled by countless lies,” she lamented.
Following the canceled wedding, Nneji said Uzochukwu began harassing and threatening her, leveling false accusations that she operated an Instagram page to spread damaging rumors about him — allegations she firmly denies.
The matter has since escalated, culminating in her being declared wanted by the authorities — an action she describes as unjust, especially as no formal invitation or prior notification was served to her.
As the controversy unfolds, concerns grow about the procedures followed by law enforcement and the broader implications for individual rights in cases involving personal disputes.
