Amid the rising tension, Christian leaders in Plateau State have announced plans for a peace protest on Easter Monday, April 21. The event, themed “2nd Peace Walk Against Continuous Killings,” will be a call to end the senseless violence and restore justice.
Participants are urged to wear black as a symbol of mourning, red to signify an end to killings, and white to represent peaceful resistance.
Troops Rescue 16 Kidnap Victims in Counter-Attack
There was a silver lining when the Nigerian Army rescued 16 kidnapped passengers, including children, after a swift operation in Mangu LGA. Troops overwhelmed the kidnappers in a gun battle, saving the abducted victims and providing medical assistance to the injured.
