The coronation ceremony drew royal fathers, top government officials, and well-wishers from far and wide. Clad in resplendent traditional attire, they came to witness the glorious installation of the new Alaafin, who is now referred to as His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akeem Owoade.
The event was not only a cultural spectacle but also a strong symbol of unity and peace in the kingdom. According to the kingmakers, the installation of the new Alaafin marks the end of internal conflicts within the Oyo Mesi, the traditional council of kingmakers in Oyo.
