Injured Nigerian Soldier Appeals for Help After Spinal Cord Injury

A Nigerian soldier, David Itodo, who has been battling a severe spinal cord injury, has reached out to Nigerians for assistance.

Itodo has been receiving treatment at 44 Reference Hospital in Kaduna since December 2020, following an accident in Abia State while carrying out his military duties.

According to a source who spoke anonymously, Itodo requires an urgent Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan, a wheelchair, and financial aid to support his treatment and recovery.

The source added that his salary is insufficient to cover his medical expenses, and he is relying on the generosity of Nigerians, the government, and NGOs to improve his condition.

Due to his injury, his mobility is severely restricted, and his nervous system is not responding as it should.

Itodo remains hopeful that with enough support, he can regain some independence and improve his quality of life.
