Abia Police Sack Inspector Over Misconduct

The Abia State Police Command has dismissed Inspector Kufere Moses over alleged unethical conduct while on duty.

In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Maureen Chinaka, confirmed that Moses, who was serving at Mopol 55, Aba, was dismissed following administrative disciplinary actions taken against him for misconduct.

According to Chinaka, the dismissed officer has been stripped of his uniform and all police-issued equipment.

She emphasized that the Abia State Command has zero tolerance for unprofessional behavior and assured the public that erring officers will not be shielded.

“The public is hereby notified that Inspector Kufere Moses, formerly attached to UBA Bank Guard in Aba, has been dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force, effective February 21, 2025.

He has been de-kitted, and all police accoutrements have been retrieved from him,” the statement read.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, reaffirmed his commitment to upholding professionalism within the force, stressing that the command will not condone bad elements tarnishing the image of the police.

The Abia Police Command reassured residents of its dedication to maintaining a disciplined, service-driven, and law-abiding force, in line with the vision of the Inspector General of Police.
