Group Raises Alarm Over Attempt to Recall Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Urges INEC to Uphold Due Process

By NIGPOST Staff
A gender advocacy group, Womanifesto, has voiced concerns over alleged harassment and intimidation targeting Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central.

The group strongly condemned ongoing efforts to recall the senator, describing the move as a case of political coercion and disregard for democratic principles.

Call for Fairness in Recall Process

Womanifesto has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that any recall attempt follows due process, remains transparent, and adheres to constitutional guidelines.

“We stand in firm solidarity with Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in the face of continued harassment, intimidation, and threats against her safety and dignity,” the group stated.

Reports suggest that political figures are pressuring Natasha’s constituents to support a recall effort.
