Activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has launched a scathing attack on President Bola Tinubu, accusing him of crippling Nigeria’s economy and pushing the naira into free fall.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Sowore claimed that Tinubu’s economic policies have led to the closure of 7.2 million businesses, skyrocketing inflation, and a worsening cost of living crisis.
“Tinubu is Destroying Nigeria’s Economy” – Sowore
Sowore didn’t hold back in his criticism, stating that:
“Mr. Tinubu has ruined the Nigerian economy, with 7.2 million businesses closed since he brought his bad economics to hunt down and kill the naira.”
He further lamented that wages are no longer enough for most workers to survive, while food prices, rent, medication, energy tariffs, and telecom charges have become unaffordable.
A Call for Action
The outspoken activist urged Nigerians to rise up and resist the economic hardship, declaring that:
“This man came to finish Nigeria. Nigerians must recognize this, rise, and fight back very strongly. We have NO time! #TinubuIsaTerriblePresident #RevolutionNow.”
As economic challenges persist, the debate over Tinubu’s leadership and its impact on Nigeria’s future continues to intensify.
