Two Arrested for Ritual Murder of 10-Year-Old Boy in Adamawa

Tragedy struck in Jada Local Government Area of Adamawa State as police arrested two men for the gruesome murder of a 10-year-old boy.

The suspects, Ibrahim Abdul Malik and Aliyu Abdul Malik, both residents of Anguwan Sarkin Yamma, have confessed to the brutal killing and beheading of their victim, identified as Abdalla Lawali, an almajiri from Anguwar Dubai in the same area.

Child Goes Missing, Horror Unfolds

The young boy was declared missing on March 7, 2025, sparking an urgent search by both locals and security operatives. Acting on intelligence, police tracked down the suspects and uncovered disturbing evidence linking them to the crime.

When officers raided the suspects’ residence, they found the decomposing body of the child stuffed in a sack. A further search revealed a shallow grave within the compound, where the severed head was buried.

Suspects Confess, Express Regret

During police interrogation, both suspects admitted to the heinous act but expressed regret over their actions. However, authorities have vowed to ensure justice is served.

“The case has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a thorough investigation and prosecution,” the police confirmed.

In response to this shocking crime, the police have urged parents and guardians to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious activities in their communities.

“We assure the public that justice will be done. Let’s work together to ensure the safety of our children,” the statement added.
