The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has deployed the Intelligence Response Team to secure the safe release of Prince Eniola Ojajuni, the Afenifere Youth Leader, who was abducted on February 17, 2025, while traveling to Abuja.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, assured the public that all necessary resources and expertise were being used to secure Ojajuni’s release.
“The NPF is fully committed to the safe return of Prince Ojajuni and is deploying all necessary resources and expertise to achieve this objective,” Adejobi stated.
Police Warn Against Spreading False Information
Adejobi also urged Nigerians to avoid spreading unverified details about the kidnapping on social media, warning that such speculation could jeopardize rescue efforts and put the victim at greater risk.
Meanwhile, police operations in Taraba and Oyo states have led to the arrest of 21 criminal suspects, the recovery of weapons, and the rescue of three kidnap victims in separate incidents.
