In a major development for the 2025 Hajj preparations, Saudi-based company Mashariq Al Dhabia has officially signed an amended contract with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to provide services for Nigerian pilgrims.
This comes after weeks of uncertainty, as the company had previously threatened legal action against NAHCON over alleged breaches of the original contract for Masha’ir services during the upcoming pilgrimage.
Contract Dispute Resolved
In a surprising turn of events, a delegation from Mashariq Al Dhabia, led by Chairman Muhammad Hassan, visited NAHCON’s headquarters in Abuja on Saturday, February 22, to finalize the revised agreement.
Speaking after the signing, NAHCON Chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Seleh Usman, explained that the amendments were necessary to clarify certain issues and ensure a smooth and successful Hajj experience for Nigerian pilgrims.
No Contract Cancellations – NAHCON Assures Pilgrims
Prof. Usman reassured all intending pilgrims that preparations for the 2025 Hajj are on track, dismissing rumors of contract cancellations.
“We have concluded all arrangements for a smooth and successful Hajj operation, by the grace of Allah. The commission has not canceled any contracts with service providers.”
Mashariq Al Dhabia Commits to Quality Service
Speaking on behalf of his company, Mashariq Al Dhabia Chairman, Muhammad Hassan, expressed gratitude to NAHCON and pledged to provide top-quality services for Nigerian pilgrims.
“We pray that Allah blesses this agreement. Nigerian pilgrims can expect the best services, Insha-Allah.”
With this resolution, both NAHCON and Mashariq Al Dhabia are set to move forward in ensuring a seamless Hajj experience for all Nigerian pilgrims in 2025.
