Tension is high in Lagos as reports suggest that the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda, is facing strong pressure to resign. Sources indicate she may step down as early as Monday.
The situation escalated after operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), alongside other armed security personnel, stormed the Lagos Assembly complex in Alausa, Ikeja.

Meranda’s fate remains uncertain following the return of the impeached Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, who has continued to reject his removal.
