So-Safe Corps Arrests Four Illegal Immigrants from Cameroon and Chad in Ogun
The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has arrested four undocumented immigrants from Cameroon and Chad for illegally entering the state.
Who Were the Suspects?
The four men were identified as:
- Dorooumouna Brosia (23) – Cameroonian and group leader
- Hassan Bukhari – Cameroonian
- Saleh Sinine Sakhair (27) – Chadian
- Mahamat Moudaina (23) – Chadian and brother to Saleh
They were arrested around 8:00 AM on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
How They Were Caught
According to Dr. Soji Ganzallo, the So-Safe Corps Commander, officers acted on intelligence reports and tracked the suspects to Lafenwa, Abeokuta.
“Our operatives received a tip-off that some Cameroonian and Chadian nationals had boarded a taxi to Lafenwa. The team quickly swung into action and arrested them before they could alight from the vehicle.”
During interrogation, the suspects revealed that:
✔️ The two Cameroonians had been in Ibadan for four months.
✔️ They were waiting for their Chadian counterparts to join them.
✔️ A Chadian resident in Ibadan, Hassan Seid, invited them to Ogun State for work and English language improvement.
Security Concerns & Next Steps
Dr. Ganzallo warned that undocumented migrants could pose security risks and stressed that illegal entry into the state will not be tolerated.
The arrested individuals have been handed over to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Ogun State Command, for further investigation and possible deportation.
