Military Assures Public of Professional Conduct and Stronger Inter-Agency Relations
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed that its personnel involved in a recent altercation with officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in Warri, Delta State, are currently facing disciplinary action.
The incident, which was captured in a viral video, sparked widespread reactions on social media.

A video that surfaced online on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, showed NAF personnel preventing police officers from arresting a suspect.
The footage quickly gained attention, raising concerns about inter-agency cooperation and law enforcement protocols.
NAF Responds, Calls for Calm
In an official statement released on Thursday, NAF spokesperson, Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, acknowledged the incident and reassured the public that necessary actions have been taken.
“The matter has been decisively addressed. The Commander of the concerned NAF unit has engaged with relevant police authorities in Delta State to resolve the issue and strengthen inter-agency cooperation,” Akinboyewa stated.
He further confirmed that the injured police officers have received appropriate medical care, and the NAF personnel involved are undergoing disciplinary procedures in line with military regulations.

Emphasizing the importance of professionalism, Akinboyewa assured that measures are in place to prevent a recurrence of such incidents.
