A political advocacy group, Kaduna Advocate of Good Governance, has publicly declared its support for Governor Uba Sani while criticizing former Governor Nasir El-Rufai over his recent social media statements.
During a press conference in Kaduna, the group’s coordinator, Aliyu Ibrahim, dismissed allegations that Governor Sani’s alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s administration was mere political flattery.
Instead, he described it as a strategic move in the best interest of Kaduna State.
Ibrahim also called for an investigation into the financial management of Kaduna State under El-Rufai’s tenure, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability.
The group praised Governor Sani’s ability to secure a ₦150 billion federal reimbursement, describing it as a significant win for the state and a testament to his leadership.
It also criticized what it perceived as an attempt by El-Rufai to exert undue influence over his successor, questioning the democratic implications of such actions.
