The Adamawa State Police Command has successfully neutralized a suspected kidnapper and arrested another during a coordinated operation in Song Local Government Area.
The raid, conducted by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit in collaboration with local hunters, targeted a criminal hideout at the Holma Mountains.
Gun Battle Ensues as Police Engage Armed Criminals
According to police reports, the armed kidnappers opened fire upon sighting security operatives, attempting to resist arrest.
However, during the intense exchange of gunfire, one suspect was shot dead, while others managed to escape with bullet wounds.
The police successfully arrested a suspect identified as Mohammed Sale, who is now in custody and providing vital intelligence to aid ongoing investigations.
Weapons Recovered
The security team recovered a cache of arms, including:
One AK-47 rifle
Two locally made guns
Five rounds of AK-47 live ammunition
Police Urge Public to Report Suspicious Activities
Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, commended the operatives and local security partners for their swift response. He urged continued collaboration to eradicate criminal activities and ensure public safety.
