President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has landed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to attend the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), a global summit focused on accelerating sustainable development.
The Nigerian leader arrived at 2:14 a.m. local time and was warmly welcomed by Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Themed “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” the summit provides a platform for President Tinubu to showcase his administration’s progress in energy sufficiency, transportation modernization, public health improvements, and economic growth reforms.
President Tinubu’s presence at the event highlights Nigeria’s commitment to tackling global challenges through sustainability and international cooperation.
While attending the summit, the president is also expected to hold bilateral discussions with UAE officials to explore avenues for strengthening relations and addressing shared priorities.
Joining President Tinubu on this trip are Foreign Affairs Minister Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar and other senior government representatives.
ADSW 2025, a cornerstone of international sustainability efforts for over 15 years, brings together world leaders, industry experts, and civil society to foster innovative strategies for advancing global socio-economic and environmental progress.
The summit is renowned for driving impactful partnerships and clean energy advancements.
President Tinubu is scheduled to return to Nigeria on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
