President Tinubu Mourns Death of Alhaja Monsurat Bankole

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences over the passing of Alhaja Monsurat Bankole, mother of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Oladimeji Bankole.

Alhaja Bankole, who was the Iya Adinni of Egbaland, passed away on Thursday at the age of 78 after a brief illness.

In a statement released by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President offered his heartfelt sympathies to the Bankole family and the people of Ogun State.

President Tinubu described Alhaja Monsurat Bankole as a woman of immense virtue who devoted her life to community service and upheld the principles of her Islamic faith.

“She was a woman of compassion, generosity, and humility. Alhaja Bankole’s commitment to the betterment of her community was unwavering, and she touched many lives with her kindness.

Her legacy will serve as an inspiration for those who knew her,” President Tinubu said in his statement.

The President prayed for the peaceful repose of Alhaja Bankole’s soul and asked Almighty Allah to grant her eternal rest while providing solace to her family and loved ones during this difficult time.
