In a surprising revelation, Elon Musk’s father confirmed that the billionaire mogul has shown interest in acquiring Liverpool FC.
During an interview, Errol Musk was asked directly if his son, the world’s richest man, was interested in purchasing the football club. His response was both revealing and playful.
“I can’t comment on that. They’ll raise the price,” Errol Musk laughed when first asked about the possibility.
However, when pressed further, he admitted that Elon Musk had indeed expressed an interest in buying Liverpool from its current owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG).
“Oh, yes. But that doesn’t mean he’s buying it,” Errol Musk clarified. “He would like to, yes, obviously. Anybody would want to—so would I!”
Errol Musk also shared a personal connection to the iconic club, citing family ties to Liverpool.
“His grandmother was born in Liverpool, and we have relatives there. We were fortunate to know quite a lot of the Beatles because they grew up with some of my family.
So, we are attached to Liverpool,” he added.
This news has sparked speculation about the future of the football club, with fans and investors eagerly awaiting any further developments.
