The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced the schedule for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the sale of UTME forms will commence on January 31, 2025, and conclude on March 5, 2025.
For direct entry candidates, the sale of application documents and e-PIN vending will run from March 10, 2025, to April 7, 2025.
Key examination dates include:
Mock UTME: April 5, 2025
Main UTME: April 25 to May 5, 2025
Registration Costs
Candidates registering for the UTME with a mock exam will pay a total of ₦8,200, while those opting out of the mock exam will pay ₦7,200. Below is a breakdown of the fees:
UTME/DE application fee: ₦3,500
Reading text: ₦1,000
CBT Centre registration service: ₦700
CBT Centre UTME service charge: ₦1,500
Mock exam service charge: ₦1,500
Bank charges: ₦500
In addition, Prof. Oloyede revealed that a special mock UTME for candidates under 16 years old has been introduced.
This initiative is designed to help younger candidates evaluate their abilities before the actual UTME, although it is not intended for admission purposes.
Admission Requirements
To qualify for admission into any tertiary institution in Nigeria, candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025.
However, candidates under 15 years of age may be considered if they score 280 or above in the UTME and excel in their Senior Secondary Certificate and post-UTME examinations.
