The Niger State Police Command has apprehended an 18-year-old man, Fatiyah Abdulhakeem, for the brutal murder of Architect Adamu Jagaba, a retired Permanent Secretary of the Niger State Ministry of Works.
The tragic incident occurred at the victim’s block industry along the Eastern Bypass in Minna. Abdulhakeem, who identified himself as a car painter previously engaged by Jagaba, allegedly attacked him using a stapler and a knife. The assault left the victim with severe wounds to his head and neck, leading to his death.
After committing the heinous act, Abdulhakeem fled the scene, taking the victim’s Toyota Camry with him. Acting swiftly, police operatives tracked and arrested the suspect later that day in Bosso Estate, Minna, where the stolen vehicle was recovered.
During questioning, Abdulhakeem admitted to the murder and disclosed the involvement of other accomplices. The police have launched a manhunt for these individuals and are determined to bring them to justice.
The suspect remains in custody and will be charged to court once investigations are concluded. This tragic incident has left the community in shock, with many calling for justice for the late Architect Adamu Jagaba.
