“10,000 Christian Pilgrims Set for December Airlift as N30bn Paid for 2024 Journey”
The Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) is set to begin airlifting 10,000 pilgrims to Jordan on December 22, 2024, for this year’s pilgrimage.
Each pilgrim has contributed N3 million, bringing the total to N30 billion. Bishop Stephen Adegbite, the NCPC Executive Secretary, shared that the pilgrims will spend 10 days visiting holy sites in Jordan and Turkey.
This marks a significant moment as it’s the first pilgrimage after delays earlier in the year, including the cancellation of the March trip due to safety concerns. The NCPC has reassured everyone that this pilgrimage will go ahead as planned before the end of the year.
